Male facelift overview
In delivering a male facelift, Dr. Asaria’s first concern is getting a beautiful result and adhering to the patient’s expectations. This requires a deep sense of individual customization and ability to listen to each patient’s unique needs. As his patients will tell you, Dr. Asaria uses an impressive level of communication to establish total understanding between doctor and patient. With his technical expertise and artistic eye, this is directly translated in the surgery to a result that is beautiful, natural and lasting.
Outside of delivering an individual result for each patient, there are specific technical differences in a male facelift versus a female facelift. These are:
- Male skin has a richer blood supply than female skin due to the thickness of the skin and the beard. Because of this, the male skin demands extra nutrition. Dr. Asaria must accommodate this aspect of his patients’ health with every male facelift he delivers.
- Incision placement is a primary consideration. If done with a woman’s incision, it would be placed within the ear. This means the patient would need to shave inside his ear after surgery, as hair-bearing skin will have shifted to the ear canal. As a result, the male incision is placed directly in front of the ear so the beard remains where it’s supposed to be. Because the incision is in a more visible location, Dr. Asaria uses his pristine closing technique to keep scarring almost invisible.
- Due to thick male skin, the face tends to droop in a different way than women. It may require lifting and tightening techniques that are more comprehensive to ensure a good result.
If you are considering a facelift with Dr. Asaria, your first step is an initial consultation. During this time, his purpose is to first learn about your cosmetic goals.
