Dr. Asaria's extensive educational credentials include a five-year residency in Otolaryngology—Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Toronto and completion of a facial plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Michigan, under the tutelage of world-renowned surgeon, Dr. Shan Baker. This highly coveted fellowship is one of few in the world that provides extensive training in the area of complex cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face.
He has consistently placed first amongst all surgeons across Canada and the rest of the world. Most notably, his academic achievements include the fact that he finished first amongst all surgeons in North America on the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Certifying Examination and scored one of the highest marks ever recorded on the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Exam—the examination that sets the bar for facial plastic surgeons across the globe.
Dr. Asaria currently serves as Clinical Instructor in the Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Toronto and holds the position of Chief Examiner in Facial Plastic Surgery for the residents in Head & Neck Surgery. He is also an Invited Proctor for the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery administered annually in Washington D.C
For this he earned the prestigious Jack R. Anderson Award, which was awarded to him at the Academy's national conference in Boston.
