ProFractional Laser is an advanced laser technology that delivers laser energy into highly-targeted treatment areas up to 1,5000 microns deep. This action initiates your body’s natural healing response, increasing collagen production and skin cell turnover. Collagen is your skin’s natural structural framework, responsible for its youthful volume and smoothness. The gradual loss of collagen due to age and sun damage leads to fine lines, wrinkles, and other skin concerns.
ProFractional Laser restores your skin’s natural collagen reserves and replaces the damaged skin tissues with new skin cells. The results are smooth, flawless, and voluminous skin with minimal wrinkles. We also use the Observ 3D imaging tool to visualize the results beforehand.
45 to 90 minutes
You’ll experience some swelling, redness, and irritation around the treatment areas, especially the region around the eyes, for up to 5 days after the procedure. However, you can resume most of your daily activities and start wearing makeup in approximately 3 days.
ProFractional Laser activates your body’s internal healing response. As such, the results appear gradually as the side effects recede and your body produces new collagen fibers and skin cells. Most patients start seeing results within a week, with continued improvements for up to 6 months.
Your ProFractional laser treatment starts with a personal consultation with Miriam, our incredibly talented and skilled medical aesthetician. She carefully examines your facial skin, reviews your medical history, and discusses your cosmetic goals. She also uses the Observ 3D imaging technology to create a skin profile and visualize the final results of the treatment. This allows her to customize the treatment plan to ensure optimal results. And you can see how your skin will look at various stages of the recovery.
The aesthetician will cleanse the treatment areas and apply a topical numbing cream to ensure a comfortable experience. She’ll adjust the ProFractional laser device to penetrate the appropriate skin depth according to your specific skin type and cosmetic concerns. She’ll move the laser device over the treatment areas, creating the microchannels on your skin’s surface. The entire procedure lasts for 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the treatment areas.
Cold compresses will be applied to your skin after the procedure to reduce the redness and burning sensation. You may have mild pinpoint bleeding and swelling for a few hours. Your skin will look flushed and red, as if you’ve got a bad sunburn, for several days. Over time, the old skin cells will start peeling off to reveal the smoother and younger skin underneath. You can resume daily activities in 3 days, but the side effects will gradually recede over a week. The results will start appearing in a week but continue improving for several months.
