As we age, we begin to lose the firm, defined jawline that enhances a beautiful, youthful appearance. Jowls, a double chin, sagging skin or other issues with the jawline can seem impossible to treat without a surgical procedure. But in many cases, injectables are in fact the answer you’ve been looking for to give you the contoured, sculpted jawline you want--surgery free.

What is non-surgical jawline contouring?

Non-surgical jawline contouring is a specialized procedure that is customized for your individual needs, using injectables to sculpt the contours of the lower face and achieve an aesthetic, smooth and beautiful definition.

During non-surgical jawline contouring, fillers, Botox or Kybella, or a combination of these treatments can be used to achieve the look you want. Add volume and structure to the jawline and give it a stronger, firmer appearance with fillers, or soften hard edges with Botox. Kybella injections can be used to erase the double chin, which can detract from the jawline and fade its definition.

Fillers to firm and contour

Dermal fillers such as Juvéderm and Restylane can improve the jawline and chin by filling and firming to address lost facial volume, fine lines and wrinkles. Fillers provide more separation between the jawline and the neck, providing definition and a youthful, refined and sculpted contour.

Botox to soften

For those who would like a less heavy or prominent jawline, Botox can be used to achieve this effect. Some patients would like a more narrow jaw or have experienced a widened or increased jaw size due to jaw clenching. During this treatment, Botox is injected into the muscle under the cheekbones. Over time, the size of the jaw will decrease. The results last 4-6 months, though with continued injections, the muscle will begin to atrophy over time due to lack of use, and the jaw will stay narrower.

Kybella to slim and define

To combat and reduce a double chin, the revolutionary Kybella helps eliminate fat in the submental area. Kybella is the first FDA-approved non-surgical treatment to reduce moderate to severe fat below the chin. After an average of two to four treatments delivered at 1-2 month intervals, you can enjoy a more refined and contoured jawline and say goodbye to that stubborn double chin.

Who is a candidate for nonsurgical jawline contouring?

Men or women who would like to sculpt their jawline without a surgical procedure are likely candidates. Candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Are at a healthy, consistent weight
  • Have good skin elasticity

Benefits

  • Non-surgical, minimally-invasive treatment
  • Strengthen a weak chin
  • Eliminate a double chin
  • Achieve an aesthetic facial symmetry and balance
  • Quick, easy procedure
  • No or little recovery needed, and no downtime
  • A more defined, sculpted jawline

How long will the results last?

The amount of time your results last varies from client to client. One of the main factors that determines the length of results is the type of injectables used to sculpt your jawline:

  • Botox typically lasts for about 3-4 months.
  • Fillers usually last for 6-18 months.
  • Kybella results are permanent.

Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19

Dear Patients:

At FACE Toronto we are committed to protecting the safety of our patients, staff, and the general public while maintaining our high standard of quality care. As a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we have made changes to our patient care practices in accordance with all provincial and Public Health recommendations. Our team has been working diligently on enhancing our safety protocols to protect the well-being of our patients, team members, and families. We would like to highlight how we are providing a safe environment for you and our team:

  • We will be pre-screening all patients that are scheduled to come into our office for any symptoms of COVID-19. We will ask patients to stay home with symptoms of COVD-19, chronic lung disease, severe asthma, serious heart conditions, and uncontrolled type 1 diabetes. A mandatory Covid-19 consent form must be filled out before arrival to the clinic and temperature checks will be administered upon entering the building.
  • We have implemented a policy for the safety and testing of our staff members including daily screening and temperature checks. We will be maintaining physical distancing as much as possible throughout the office for staff and patients.
  • The timing of patient visits has been adjusted in order to limit the number of people in the office at a given time and to allow for enhanced disinfecting and cleaning protocols we have put in place in between patients.
  • We request that patients come on their own to all appointments unless absolutely necessary. We are not servicing any walk-in patients and not allowing visitors or children to accompany any patient.
  • For your safety all of our staff will be wearing masks when interacting with patients in the office and routine hand-washing is required.
  • We request that you wear a mask. If you do not have a mask, a mask will be provided. Hand sanitation stations will be available upon entering and throughout the office.
  • We are pleased to offer virtual visits as an option for non-urgent appointments. The software we have in place provides appropriate safety and privacy for the interaction.
  • We have increased our in-office cleaning. All areas of patient traffic are regularly cleaned throughout the day. All treatment rooms are cleaned between every patient encounter. All chairs and table tops in the waiting room as well as treatment rooms will be wiped down between patients, including counters, keyboards and door handles. Our credit/debit card terminal will be disinfected after each use. We have also enhanced the air filtration quality in our space to provide patients with surgically clean air.

We are so excited to welcome you back and look forward to continuing to help our patients look and feel their best! We encourage you to reach out to our office now to schedule your appointment. Please feel free to contact our team by phone at 416-479-4244 or email at [email protected].
